Flax production in Donegal is now a thing of the past, in many ways a forgotten harvest.. It was, in its day the main crop grown in Ulster and so members of the Armagh Vintage Vehicle Club relive those days by planting, growing and harvesting a field of flax. Using skills and machinery of the 1940s era they once again bring the flax harvest to life.
Join with the members as they successfully grow, harvest and transport the flax to the scutch mill – areal piece of living history.
