Set in Donegal in the mid-twentieth century it tells how a family in hard times with a wedding on their hands turn to making poteen to pay for the big day.
Things take a turn for the worse when the guards raid the still, the old uncle dies and the wedding proceeds. This is a most enjoyable production full of humour, music and craic.
