Drumoghill was the first National School to participate in our Living History Schools programme today. Amongst other things, the children learnt: how the flax was processed in the Lagan area of Donegal in times past; and what costumes soldiers would have worn, and what utensils they would have used, in the seventeenth century. Plus, there was a a chance for the children to test their culinary skills by helping our resident historial chef, Mary, bake some oat cakes to a very local and traditional recipe.
